Chippenham Golf Club, founded in 1896, has gone through many changes in its history including most recently the opening of 7 new holes and the building of a new modern Clubhouse in 2012.
The Course
Our course provides a fantastic challenge to golfers of all abilities. The excellent putting surfaces always receive great reviews. The newer section of the course has enhanced the existing layout and makes for an enjoyable round of golf for all abilities. There is an interesting mix of holes with five par 5's, five par 3's and eight par 4's.
The Clubhouse
Opened in December 2012, the new clubhouse provides a modern venue that is the envy of many. Clean, bright and airy, the various rooms provide the highest comfort but still retain a golf club atmosphere. Our food and drink offering are second to none and the regular Club and private events that provide plenty of entertainment. The Club also caters for anyone looking to enjoy a light lunch, a snack or coffee and cake. Chippenham Golf Club really is a great meeting place.
Membership & Welcome
While every golf club will claim this, reviews have regularly mentioned that Chippenham is one of the friendliest Clubs in Wiltshire. The warmth of welcome extends from the Members down through the staff. New members and visitors will find it easy to feel a part of the Club, and always welcomed back.

One of Chippenham Golf Club’s main goals is to provide the best possible facility at the best possible price. The Club offers great value in all areas and is constantly adding benefits for its members. Members enjoy discounts on food and drink, range balls and guest Green Fees. As a Club, we also boast a selection of reciprocals, which members can use, and to continue playing golf outside of Wiltshire.
Competitions
The Club runs regular competitions throughout the year with a variety of formats. From monthly medals and stablefords, to Winter and Summer knockouts and honours board competitions. For those wishing to get involved in competitive & social team golf, we run teams for all levels of handicap. The competitions are split into sections including Club Competitions, Men’s, Mixed, Ladies, Seniors and Junior Competitions.
Matches
At Chippenham, we are also proud of being inclusive to allow as many people as possible to play in matches and host a range of different teams for all sections, to ensure we cater for everyone. Whether you are a single figure golfer, or just starting out, there will be a squad for you.
Social Events
Chippenham Golf Club has a very active social scene with quiz nights held once a month throughout the winter and into early summer. These nights often attract over 120 people. Other events include New Years Eve Party, Burns Night, St Patrick’s Night, Captain’s Day, and the Annual Dinner. Various other theme and tribute nights are also held.
